Welcome! I am Lauren Smyth, founder of Universal Vibrations. For over 19 years behind the chair, I’ve been thoughtfully crafting looks that honor individuality, expression, and the quiet confidence that comes from feeling truly aligned in your own skin. My work spans lived-in, effortless blends, striking vivid color designs, intentional texture and movement, styling for meaningful moments, and a pop of sparkle through fairy hair installations—each approach rooted in care, creativity, and connection.

Music has always lived alongside my creative work. I was classically trained on the violin in my formative years, an experience that shaped my sensitivity to sound, rhythm, and the way vibration moves through the body. Over time, this foundation naturally evolved into the sound-based, sensory experiences that now exist alongside my work in beauty—bridging outer transformation with inner restoration.

Relaxation Resonance sits at the heart of these offerings. It is a restorative sound retreat designed to gently guide the nervous system into a state of calm through immersive sound, subtle sensory elements, and a spa-inspired environment. With minimal interaction, participants are invited to slow down, soften, and rest deeply. An introverts dream!

Beyond Relaxation Resonance, I’ve developed a collection of thoughtfully curated experiences woven throughout my menu—from private sound sessions to restorative facial and sensory experiences, sound and light renewal offerings, and layered collaborative wellness experiences created alongside other practitioners. These experiences are designed to support regulation, presence, and balance, whether offered one-on-one, within private gatherings, wellness days, retreats, or hosted at a venue.

Across all of my work—hair, sound, and sensory experience—my intention remains the same: to create spaces that feel grounding, supportive, and unrushed, inviting people to reconnect with themselves in a way that feels both beautiful and restorative.
